It’s not like they put triangular wheels on it. It will function just fine, even if it doesn’t support the specific functions you want it to prioritize.

Windshield is too large.
Cybertruck wasn’t just built to look different for the sake of looking different. It also looks different because they are trying a design approach that doesn’t use traditional body-on-frame manufacturing and which uses a super-strong stainless sheet steel alloy exoskeleton (that can only be shaped along score lines…
I appreciate that Elon changed the EV game completely. But why are the new EVs still so damned large? They’re heavy in part because of the batteries, but I still cannot comprehend how someone feels “green” rolling around in a 5500lb Tesla Model X.
Hey, where’d you find the leaked photos of the 2025 Silverado?
All I can think is that the big flat chunk of glass will reflect weirdly and cause all sorts of issues for the occupants and those around you
What I like about this is that he, and by extension, Tesla is willing to make something dramatically different from the norm and take the risk. It’s something I wish more automakers would do.
I wouldn’t call it a phobia or hysteria...it’s simply being more cognizant of the contact we make with others in a time when we had to quickly adapt and be careful. It will eventually wear off, but also keep in mind that we are not out of danger.
Being told by the government keep your distance from people and stay home, locked away from the public as much as possible was a godsend for many people. And, let’s be honest here, we probably should have already been wearing masks and constantly sanitizing our hands in a lot of places before the pandemic.
Speaking as someone who is fully vaccinated and in excellent health there is no fucking way i am going to sit inside a restaurant or a movie theatre or an office, whatever. Ive had to go to the dentist/doctor for legit medical stuff but that is it.
To play devil’s advocate I don’t trust the general “maskless” public either. That they are vaccinated, or that they are taking any precautions to protect anyone who is not or cannot be.
I have only recently started being “ok” being around people again despite having been vaccinated months ago. I suffer from OCD and of course wouldn’t you know, my phobia is germs and contaminants. So I had a whole year of more or less hiding at my house. So much so that when I was finally vaccinated and went to the…
What if we didn't like being around people before the pandemic either? I could go for a couple more decades of everyone staying 6 feet away.
Doctors should worry about the hysterical COVID people after they do something about the hysterical people that are worried about:
They would have to preset a compelling governmental interest in order to ban all bumper stickers (were it to be challenged in court, which I’m sure it would be). Perhaps there could be one, but I can’t think of what it would be at the moment.
I’m in western Maine so probably haven’t seen you on the road. I did see a Maine plate yesterday that said PB4UGO, which I guess will also get pulled by the state?
I emailed my rep about this two weeks ago. Any reduction in freedom of speech is a dangerous direction to move in. No one who votes for this will get my vote again.
Yuuuuuuuup. Hometown represent! It was a woman with a giant sticker on the back of her truck reading ‘Fuck trump, and fuck you for voting for him.’ The piece of shit sheriff at the time, Troy Nehls, who’s now a goddamn congressman, basically fuckin doxxed her in a Facebook post. After that fiasco, she added another…
