What the other posters don’t mention is that, while it is longitudinal, it is also behind the transaxle for better weight distribution, which is not like Subarus, Audis, etc...

Bitchin’ camaro bitchin’ camaro, hey man where you headed? Bitchin’ camaro bitchin’ camaro I’m drunk on unleaded!
Was kid under 2, and if so was the seat rear facing? If so, I got no problem with that, sort of.
Actually, I believe one is more likely to get laid in a Volvo wagon than in most other cars.
I am always a little late on the draw here in HI, but I am astounded I already got beat out by another Herbie = baby Jesus, because of course. I had to dig him out of the couch cushions because he is well liked. Three kings though—and Firebird/Angel close enough right? Also had to delay the creche-making because both…
The problem with that argument is that the 5-10 year old civics were better than the new Civics at the time, which were much better built but no more inspiring to drive than the Cobalt. If you wouldn’t be caught dead in an entry-level car of any sort from that era, ok, but that’s pretty bourgeois—it was about mid…
It was quirky and weird then and it’s quirky and weird now. I don’t think it has “aged well” or fits with current trends in design, but I liked it then and I like it now.
I’ll bite: They were a thousand times better than the Cavalier they replaced—would you rather have one of those? Or maybe you’d prefer the competition. I hear Dodge Calibers are nice. I rented a lot of these when they were new and I was astounded to find that they steered, accelerated and turned better than Corollas…
Totally not getting all the Cobalt hate. So you’d rather have a Cavalier? I had a job that required a lot of car rentals when these were new and I was pleasantly surprised that the Cobalts had better steering, snappier acceleration, and crisper handling than the Toyota Corolla of the same era, which is a huge reversal…
I’m not really so down on 2016—it’s a matter of perspective, but I certainly agree that 91’ was fantastic.
Drive-through daiquiri shops are normal in Louisiana.

This is particularly true given that the Focus is a “world car” and that they sell exactly this in the UK. What would it take to sell a few of these to crazy people like me? http://www.ford.co.uk/Cars/Fiesta/Re…
Aftermarket ECM tuners are very popular for diesel trucks, in part because diesels cam benefit enormously from a tune, and also because they aren’t sensitive to getting it a little wrong (what do you mean it’s too lean???). Given that “pig rich” is pretty easy to do, you can guess that “rolling coal” is virtually…
Sigh. I would like to see the statistics supporting each new test—cars are inherently dangerous and surely there is a point at which additional safety measures, of any kind, have diminishing returns. I think the small-overlap business is probably legit, but we can’t start thinking of every fatality as being…
You sir, have put some thought into this. Some others have made some valid points, but they are clearly amateurs...
Miata. Am I doing this right?
This is not what I expected. I expected to learn that a Hyundai Excel has an awesome exhaust note. Or maybe a Chevy Beretta.
