I’m with you on this. Low unemployment isn’t making a real difference in wages at the bottom level like it should.

This comment sums up why people think you’re off. You called Elizabeth Warren a tool of the establishment, then say it’s part of an anti-Bernie conspiracy? That’s quite a few standard deviations away from anything resembling common sense.
Yep, anyone who drives I75 north knows that when they pass the enormous Confederate flag north of Tampa, they might as well be in a different state.
I commented on someone else, but I’d max him with Embiid and roll the dice. He’s worth it if you can get a #3 on the cheap.
I’m in the minority, but I’d max Butler. Five straight years of 120+ offensive efficiency at 20+% usage, and he plays defense. He’s a #1 or #2 guy in a deep playoff team and there are, what 15-20 guys in the NBA, tops?
I don’t see how you could get a star plus assets for someone who can’t shoot and has one year left before he asks for a max (or close) deal.
I just don’t know if this is realistic. You need to know if Butler will stay, and whether or not Redick (assuming yes) and Harris (assuming no or a long-term deal) will re-sign.
Where are you coming from to Blacksburg (if it’s NOVA, go fuck yourself)? Roanoke is 30-40 minutes away, and even Bristol and Knoxville are just 60-90 minutes the other way.
I’m torn on this because Virginia has plenty of medical resources. I can pretty much triangulate your mom’s location and she doesn’t have to go to Chapel Hill, and she definitely doesn’t ever need to go to DC. Charlottesville, Richmond, and even Roanoke are fine. Charlottesville and Richmond are more than fine.
Beilein is the closest thing there is to a high-level Daryl Morey-style coach in the NCAA. I’m an analytics guy, so I want him to succeed, but he’s going to need a lot of help from the GM, assistants, etc. on buy-in. Their roster sucks.
I selfishly hope this is a colossal failure because I don’t want Tony Bennett to get any crazy ideas.
I hope the photographer next to the “O” in Raptors got the shot.
The only reason I have for not believing this is: How has nobody kicked his ass? My immediate instinct reading this was “you will not fuck with my kids”.
Did Chris call Mike (at his leisure)? I feel like they could have connected.

I’m OK with most of this. I just barely have the appetite to eat my own meal.
Seriously, does he have any assistants?
Bill Belichick has long had a way of melting other coaches’ brains, but McVay’s utter inability to adjust as the game wore on was bracing. The Rams rarely went up-tempo, and they could have used an extra tight end or more spread formations, or thrown more screens to counter the way the Pats stacked the line and used…
We’ll think he’s a genius doing commentary for NBATV in 15 years.
I’m sure it had nothing to do with 35-year-old Antawn Jamison and Alonzo Gee leading the team in minutes.
I’m thinking Tatum maybe just wasn’t that good of a 3-point shooter. He was 34% at Duke and 37% this year, so maybe that’s his real number, not last year’s 43%. He doesn’t really do anything else (rebounding, passing, defense), so when he’s missing shots, he’s a disaster.
