Remember when every publisher was talking about going big into movement controls, mobile games, free-to-play, or multiplayer passes? Every couple years the gaming industry jumps on some sort of bandwagon, then a couple years later they are on to the next bandwagon. It’s how the industry is, and I doubt the cycle will

I assume you are the type of person who thinks that immatation is the greatest form of flattery if you think trying to turn a profit with what are essentially someone else’s designs is a show of respect. I feel like people don’t really know what homage means...

I am amazed that people continue to make this argument despite it not being true... In the first 6 weeks following the PS4's release Sony shipped and sold 4.2 million units globally, in the first 6 weeks following the Switch’s release Nintendo shipped and sold 2.7 million units globally; this is not the same amount,

That is a whole lot of fighting game knock off characters. I see Cammy, E Honda, Sagat, Sean, Poison, and Guy from Street Fighter as well as Nina, Cristina and what arguably looks like Bryan from Tekken. It’s one thing to be inspired by something and another to practically copy designs...

I liked what I played, and found that if you are playing against another player 1v1 who knows what they are doing there is a bit more depth to how you fight. For instance I started using a tactic where you have predominant arm for attacking and then another that would go unused specifically for blocking throws; the

That doesn’t make me wrong though, there is indications that Nintendo rushed the Switch to release; the fact that they didn’t even have their online network for the console ready at launch is a prime example.

There’s a link in the article above that lets you download the first level; it’s definitely worth a try if you liked HLD. It looks a lot like HLD but feels considerably different thanks to an emphasis on using combos to create specific effects and certain enemies requiring different tactics to fight; if the full game

I am assuming those numbers are solely for Japan since Sony had announced more than 4 million in PS4 global sales for 2013, which would be the first 6 weeks it was on the market; compare this to Nintendo’s 2.7 million in sales globally after their first 6 weeks and you can see just how much demand shortages are

I am pretty sure the case with the Switch comes down to Nintendo rushing its release date long before production levels were high enough to meet demand.

Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t mean to imply that HLD’s lack of story was bad; it put focus on exploration much like the original Legend of Zelda did and it worked in its favor for the most part.

Of course it sold out near instantly, hell I’m sure even people who are completely uninterested in Monster Hunter bought one since stock is so limited and even months after release Nintendo hasn’t been able to meet demand.

As someone who absolutely loved Hyper Light Drifter I can say that so far I am digging Phantom Trigger a lot; at first it’s easy to see the dash attack and style and immediately think HLD, once you play it a bit more and dig into using its combos it stops feeling like a rip off and starts feeling truly unique.

Considering that MHFZ still has pretty much the same graphics on PS4 I feel like it’s doubtful... Capcom does not like creating new assets; just look at how many years worth of games they squeezed out of Street Fighter Alpha’s sprites.

Better camera controls.

I played around 20 rounds this morning and here’s my take away...

Having played through Prey three times now, one of which a no neuromod run, I can’t disagree with this post more...

Competitive MTG games have always been fairly short, I remember at the height of my CCG phase about 15 years ago going to Gencon and having best of three rounds lasting between 30-45 minutes; when every one knows what’s going on things move quickly and in competitive play most players will accept when they see defeat

The third one is Peter Parker (Earth-90214) or Spiderman Noir where Peter grew up during the depression and donned the Spiderman identity after being attacked by a horde of ancient spiders...

It only limits gameplay when co-op is required and playing alone gives you a terrible AI partner like in Resident Evil 5, Army of Two, Kane and Lynch, etc...

What most clearly sets Far Cry 5 apart from its predecessors is that it isn’t about shooting up a beautiful island run by a madman in the South Pacific or a lovely region run by a madman in the Himalayas. It’s about blasting through a section of modern Montana controlled by a Bible-thumping madman who runs a
