You are right, using a heatsink and fan would have no effect on cooling the chipset; but what you’ll notice when taking a Switch out of the dock when playing it for a few hours the heat that’s being produced from the backplate is not from the chipset but rather the battery compartment, and while the heat pipe’s design

I don’t really think it is safe to assume anything at this point when it comes to a new product, and when it comes to product failure overheating is typically the main cause.

Does it come with the true joy (or agony) that is getting all of your drivers to play nice together once you’ve actually built your PC? Any one whose built a PC can tell you that can be some of the most frustrating aspects of the whole process...

Um... no. If you are at 150 degrees constantly that’s a problem, most cpus have a max safe temp somewhere between 140-160 degrees and that is under major stress.

The thing is, phones aren’t really made for playing games for long periods of time and for the most part they are designed to be replaced on a yearly or bi-yearly basis; a console however really lives and dies on playing games for extended periods of time for several years.

I worry about any excess heat, especially in a product that is nearly brand new. Also, it’s hard to really tell how well it’s managing heat without an indication of internal temperatures, the temp coming off the heatsink/backplate and fan exhaust will always be lower than the actual component temp; I’d take a guess

Right, because there has never been a single instance of a kickstarter not fulfilling their promises... I’m not saying it won’t happen, but given the last 16 years of waiting to get a comic I pre-ordered back in 2001 I stand by my previous statement that I will believe it exists when it is in my hands.

No signs of scratches on my Switch from docking; but I can attest to the fact that it does get quite hot after around 4 or so hours of gaming, part of this comes from the fact that the Switch doesn’t have great ventilation to begin with and the dock doesn’t really allow for excess heat coming off the back plate of the

There’s been 16 years of him saying he’d finish the series, but every time he does it comes with a “I don’t know when” that comes with it. I won’t believe it until it’s on shelves.

I outright refuse to play this until Joe Mad releases issue #10 of the comic and actually finishes the damn series...

No, the worst part of Blood Moons and weapon durability is when you break all your best weapons trying to take out a camp of high rank moblins and bokoblins only to have blood moon occur only moments later to respawn all of them around you before you even have a chance to acquire new weapons... It’s a massive FU

I call BS... You don’t constantly run back to town every time your gear degrades in something like Dark Souls or Diablo, so why would you assume that you would in BotW. Blacksmiths could even sell a consumable that would allow you to repair your gear while on the road, it could be something you could only do at camp

Having beaten the main quest and reached a point where I no longer have to worry so much about weapons I can say without a doubt that I still hate the durability system in BotW...

Growing up there was a Primal Rage arcade cab at this seafood restaurant we used to go to every once in a while and I thought it was awesome, when PR2 was announced and I heard that there were people who transformed into the dinosaurs mid-match it sound like the best thing ever...

I was thinking this as well, gender bending and cross dressing has played a role in Japanese media for decades and doesn’t quite have the same connotations as it does here in America, in many cases it even has no bearing on sexuality or gender for that matter.

I hope it isn’t...

I am still on the fence about this; on one hand ME2 is one of my all time favorite games but on the other hand I found ME1 to be really boring and found ME3 to be a hot mess thanks to the single player game relying on the multiplayer... I am hoping that Andromeda will bring together the best of all three games while

I think from an art design stand point they hit the nail on the head with her final look(s) but after finding all of the memories I can’t help but dislike her personality; she bounces around between stuck up brat and know it all bookworm without ever really having a moment where she comes off as likable to me, which

There are tons of tests out there that prove the differences between the i5 and i7 lines are only really noticeable when dealing with video and sound engineering and not gaming; I recently saw an article on the newest i5 and i7 lines that show the difference when gaming is only a 2-5 fps on average.

Ah yes, the little know lost Triforce of Waste...
