The thing is, you can increase your costs without cutting into your bottom line if that increase in cost results in an increase in sales.

I think you are overestimating how much it would cost to create NFC chipped models; NFC chips are dirt cheap and would hardly impact their bottom line, especially when you consider that they would be targeting a potentially much larger demographic.

Well... Considering how much success Nintendo, Disney, and Activision have had with the toys-to-life market I am not quite sure about that. They could easily sell real life units that have nfc chips in them so that they can be used in a digital game as well as the tabletop.

I actually saw that article pop up in my feed a while back but didn’t read it at the time...

None of these specs really matter... VR will only be as good a the support it gets from developers; and if VR ends up being just as much of a flash in the pan as last generations movement control fad I am not sure devs will go full-in on it.

The problem isn’t frame rate as far as motion sickness goes, the issue is latency. The higher the latency is the longer it takes for the image you see to change when you move your head; the delay between moving and then seeing the world around you move is what gets to you.

There’s going to be a new Warhammer game?!?! Those never come out!

Wait a second... You are telling me that a Ubisoft game has a sh*tload of side-missions?!?!?!?! That’s pretty unheard of from Ubi, pretty soon you’ll tell me there are a ton randomly placed collectables too!

If I’d gorged on phoenix credits in the first couple of days like those zealous few, I would’ve ruined the whole flow. If anything, those are the people most hurt most by the overly generous pre-nerf Dark Zone rewards.

I have you beat...

When it was announced that several XB1 exclusives were making their way to PC I half joked that Microsoft was taking a step towards killing the XB1; but with each new announcement they make it seems like they keep hammering new nails into its coffin. Without exclusives or the XBL friend loyalty there really isn’t a

Ah, I guess I missed the window; thanks though.

Who has Vermintide on sale?!

Wait... Does that mean we still aren’t getting voice acting? I can’t for the life of myself understand why Nintendo is the only company that outright refuses to hire voice actors these days...

The problem is even if Nintendo doesn’t have legal recourse is it worth the developer potentially entering into a long series of litigations or just to suck it up and pull down the content. Just because what they are doing isn’t illegal doesn’t mean Nintendo can’t strong arm them out of doing it. Most people don’t

My point isn’t so much that Nintendo takes ideas from modders and the emulation community that bothers me; it’s the fact that they will repackage them and act like they’ve created something new and brilliant.

Just when Nintendo’s legal team was starting to get bored... I suspect this will be pulled down pretty quick, then in a couple years Nintendo will release NES 3D Remix and claim innovation.

I am right there with you... When I was a kid I lied about 30 minutes away from the nearest game retailer and on the way home from getting a new game I would pour through the menu marveling at how fun the game would be; before I was in the front door I already knew how to play, and as soon as the game was in the

I will agree with not really liking the changes in music, if I remember right they ended up having to rewrite the entire score because of a licensing issue; I might be wrong about that though and it could have had something to do with the whole Tappy plagiarism scandal, but I was pretty sure that was after Twin Snakes

Twin Snakes wasn’t bleh because of the music, or the Ryuhei Kitamura directed cutscenes; it was bleh because the game was never designed to have first person aiming and adding it in made even the hardest difficulty levels insanely easy...
