Always amuses me that “enthusiasts,” who don’t buy new cars, whine about how new cars aren’t equipped the way they want other people to be able buy them so they can get them later, they way the want them 🤣🤣
I thought it looked pretty good in person.
Toyota says that it has a new exhaust manifold with 6 ports instead of 2, and new pistons with a lower compression ratio, presumably so that it can handle more boost up top. So no, it’s not just a tune.
The loudest complaining always comes from the people who were never going to buy in the first place.
“The suspension tuning is poor, the steering is numb, you can’t drive with the windows down”
I understand all of this. But I disagree.
Get out of here with your facts and logic! They need to control the narrative about how Toyota ignored the literal TENS OF ENTHUSIASTS willing to spend $50k on a manual transmission Toyota.
I din’t understand the hate on this car.
You will have to forgive me, as someone who drove a convertible as a daily driver for 10 years (and had the top down 90% of the time), I didn’t really think it was all that bad in the video... maybe I’m just partially deaf or have learned to ignore the sound of wind buffeting.
Except that it’s not a rebodied BMW but rather a codesigned project.
TBH, early adopters rarely care about the premiums they pay to be first. They have the resources to do so and aren’t looking at any value proposition.
NAILED IT!
I mean, I’m never going to buy one, but I do actually like this car. I haven’t driven it (yet) but I like what I’ve seen so far.
There might also be some more general issues going on that might make sports cars a hard sell.
Explain to me where the Code of Federal Regulations came from. Not to mention the equivalent regulatory codes found in all 50 states.
Looking at the inside of your ass in NOT “checking” anything.
It’s pretty much how any state agency operates. By saying an “unelected bureaucrat” can’t do something - they are implying that any government employee can’t make a decision impacting you or others unless they got the job through an election. Which would include most of the DMV, the local, librarian, and yes - health…
Except that’s exactly how the EPA, FDA, FAA, FCC, etc. work.
