I cannot stand German cars. My first two cars were Japanese (1980 Toyota Supra and a 200x Mazda3). They were fun and reliable, and when something did go wrong it wasn’t hellishly expensive to fix.

Best-looking usable performance sedan of the past five decades.

“…and right as you start to buy into it…”

Whenever I see someone with a Ferrari jacket I ask myself: is it worse if this person owns a Ferrari, or if they don’t?

When I test-drove the ATS-V in Carmel Valley a couple weeks back I was floored by how composed and planted it was. It felt like a 2/3 scale GT-R. I never approached the edge of its capabilities, nor would I likely ever be able to do so.

This is why you don’t put the engine in the back.

Actually it comes with the highest-performance sound system of any car Ford currently makes:

How cool is that! Even the gearbox has a Type R mode! Way to think it through, Honda!

Perhaps a better title might have been “How to build a car that defies class”. Because right now it seems like GTIs have no class. Which isn’t true, they’re very classy.

BMW Turn Signal Exploits Quarterly (canceled after one issue due to lack of data)

"McLaren hasn't announced pricing yet, but the best guesstimates right now are right around $180k. The hard-top 650S starts at $265,500, which makes the 570S around 70 percent of the car for a third the price."

"The 991 GTS is significantly faster around a track, no question about it. Not only does it come with more power thanks to that state-of-the-art flat-six, but the i8's skinny tires also give it a massive grip advantage."

Mr. Orlove, can you please dig up the actual contract language? How amazing would that be to read?!

My dad raced cars throughout Northern California in SCCA growing up. But I never much cared for it, for reasons I will never understand.

I wish I were one of those idiots...

Weirdest looking brake ducts I've ever seen.

This is really helpful. Thank you very much!

What system do you use? I'm interested in purchasing one for my car and would love to hear what you're using, how difficult it was to install, and any other info you'd like to share. Thanks!

Thanks so much for joining us, Darren!

I have been wondering this for a long time. Manufacturers used to use racing as a means of testing specific components, ensuring durability, etc. Today most of that process is done through computerized models. I love racing but it just doesn't serve the same practical purpose anymore.
