OK, but Ian McShane and Rufus Sewell were having SO MUCH FUN and I like a cliched mercenary-makes-good story with weird ancient-world touches, so I left this movie satisfied.

Well he claimed to be making shit up but he could also throw horses and pummel 12 people to death with one punch so the movie seemed a little confused on that point.
Also I enjoyed this movie from a 'D&D Adventuring Party in a pseudo-Hellenic setting' perspective. Also Rufus Sewell was almost as fun as Ian McShane.
Objection: Atalanta and Hercules were both Argonauts so they DID pal around together.
So the movie is more Magneto and Prof. X and also men saving the world from addled lady-brains. Hooraaayyy.
Touche. (But that was still 6 years ago.)
Mmmm. I'm still on the fence. The idea that it emulates video games in plot pacing is not a feature in my perspective. I don't really enjoy Cruise, but I do like Emily Blunt but I'm not much for militaristic-sci-fi-war stories ...
When was the last time Tom Cruise really connected with an audience? The last Mission:Impossible movie? I feel like both Jack Reacher and Oblivion didn't do well, and I don't even remember what else he's done recently.
Space Johnny Weir??
They "hate" it in the way where it means they watch it 2-3 times ...
Anyone else have a soft spot for that Liquid Gold blacksmith dude and his skillet?
THE WINGS OF MY DREAMS THANK YOU.
You mean some people might want to see an X-Man plot not centered around Wolverine, with special guest appearances by Professor X & Magneto?
I will never, ever forgive them for what they did to Phoenix. My hate is strong and eternal.
It looks like Star Wars from back when Star Wars was fun - that will appeal to a LOT of non-comic-bookians.
My god, did they PS her arms to be even skinnier?
I MISS BEER SO MUCH. <celiac tears>
Yeah, because we can't afford the MD visit so "ignore it till it goes away" always seems like a great option ... until it doesn't.
That shoe looks like a hate crime. How's a girl going to dance in those?
That would be the best way to keep Ward around, I think - keeping him a villain with a complicated past connection to the heroes. Unfortunately, it sounds like they're setting up a "redemption now that the poor punkin is free of Garrett's evil influence" arc, which will make me want to punch a child.
