Yea that’s the only reason I’ve ever lost weight post break up. It’s cool if going to the gym helps you feel better. Drilling in to people that they need to be “hot” again to make their ex mad is not cool.

I mean you’re assuming that losing weight necessarily means “getting hotter” which it doesn’t. Also it’s not healthy to obsess over an ex. “I’m going to lose 20 pounds so he/she wants me back” is not the same as “I’m going to start working out and eating better because it’ll give me confidence to get back out there”.

My parents had been divorced for about a year when my mom’s mom died. My dad and his brothers were still the pall bearers and my dad sobbed and my parents talked a bunch that day. I got really lucky because I wouldn’t have been able to handle.

Ehhhhh he wrote a whole album called Paula after she left him and it was creepy and possessive as fuck. I’m inclined to think that banning her was more about punishing her for leaving him than about whatever relationship she may have had with Alan.

And that sort of weight loss has permanent side effects. Heart problems, stunted growth, kidney failure. He’s going to need so much medical care for the rest of his life. I hope she chokes for what she did.

And now he’ll probably end up in the foster system and who knows what will happen there.
