At once? What?!? Both types of hard drives at once? What sort of amazing, magical and revolutionary technology is this? Who would have ever thought of putting an SSD into a Personal Computer? Apple is so innovative.

I haven't looked too deep into Google's offering, but having used Microsoft's Worldwide Telescope for a while now, Google's seems rather... flat and dull. With MWT you can even navigate the universe with an Xbox 360 controller. And the guided tours are very well done... also can hook up your own telescope,

@b5morden: We got this one from some guy calling himself "Sallam Hoosein". He said it worked just fine.

@Edix: "...and he said he would be showing me the latest Apple gadget... the iTouch."

...and eventually Ford starts researching how to make a quality vehicle...

I've often thought of this, whether extra functionality was for good or for evil (I'm sure lots of us have). But when it all comes out, Apple Police can shut it down. So what folks need to do is use a code language that Apple folks don't understand so apps like this could live on much longer.

@Stem_Sell: No, that's Everybody's Company's IT Guy.

@rte148: I think it's the screens on the right that are the most frightening. The ones on the left were obviously faked to cover up others like this.

@Duncan Stevenson: You're right... except there's a cost to that AFAIK. And yes, we don't get to preview Apples products before they're announced, so no user or even developer feedback until the original product is out. Then of course, minor software updates (iOS4) are released to devs. But I'm sure Apple's working

@cobrajoe: I have an HP 48SX calculator that I bought for around $400 back in the early 90s and still have it sitting around... waiting for it to skyrocket in value before eBaying it.

@hengehog: Ah! You're so right. I forgot. It really should be called "iPouch".

@picrad: Nah. MS does this with pretty much all their products. Apple does this with pretty much none. As Duncan says, though, sure, the iOS is released to developers but there's a cost involved. And you never see preview hardware, sneak peeks at conferences, or like this, hardware actually provided for review.

@Drummertist: $1.99 + $299 for iTouch + can't take it to tests = fail

You know what's also really cool? The fact that MS actually sends these out to folks, gives them away, provides beta emulators, all BEFORE launch. Unlike with Apple, this gives us all a chance to bless and roast features, and actually provide useful feedback to developers and engineers working on the product. MS

@Aklost: Mmmmm. That WP7 sure does look tasty. Best vaporware phone renders I've seen were the Dell ones. Sure do want one of those.

@Bant: Electric Burger: Zune software recognizes the music on your computer, though not sure what it does with your iTunes DRM music (who purchases DRM nowadays?). And if you're a Mac PC user you can run the Zune software in Parallels apparently... The Zune player syncs wirelessly so maybe WP7 will as well, if you

@Igor Neumann: Oooh, now THAT would rock the world. Nice!

Maybe they should have done a press conference on this and just offered people Eye Bumpers.
