Nah dude, that list is only cars. No trucks, no SUVs. You know, the popular things that people actually want to buy?

I see your side but I must disagree as we have different ideas and what matters to us individually. Thank you for being an adult during this, it could’ve gone sideways.
Do you mean how do you get “Normal” people to buy EVs? You don’t, they’re not there yet. Tesla offers the closes thing to an ICE replacement (in part due to their supercharger network), and they’re still expensive, quirky, and limited compared to an equivalently priced ICE vehicle.
Unsworth was never in the cave. He was out front talking to English speaking reporters while actual rescuers were busy actually trying to rescue people. While Musk went into the cave to see the operation, Unsworth never got his shoes wet.
Here is my argument copied from another thread:
Tesla has been profitable in some quarters here and there, but they have never actually shown an annual profit, if we are to be fair.
I applaud your supposed devotion to “the greater good”, but I assure you that everyone buys things out of their own self interest. Even those who profess not to.
I’ve never in my life seen a Bolt with a dealer markup. That’s hard to believe, but if true it only adds to my point that electric is too expensive right now.
Agree. I think the Koreans are absolutely murdering it on exterior styling.
You won’t be surprised to know that I think #1 is correct.
If your justification is “the fuel savings enough is alone” (the subject of your previous post) then yes, a Model 3 is expensive. How many years could I drive a gas car for the amount a Tesla costs?
Exactly. I almost never charge my phone when I’m away from my house because I charge it every night. Cars have such good range these days. The vast majority of people wouldn’t use 25% of their charge in a single day. We really only need public chargers on major through ways for long trips. Chargers in public parking…
Tesla isn’t going anywhere cause if their financials look grim, they will be bought out by Toyota. Having in house battery production is a legacy car makers wet dream right now.
Neutral: Make more ‘ordinary’ EVs. A lot of people don’t want a reinvented way to get into their car, a gigantic tablet in place of their usual instrument cluster or styling/colors that scream 'look at me I'm different'. Based on current sales, people want something a little higher off the ground with a feeling of…
Neutral: They have to be decent looking and have at least 250 miles of range.
You don’t want the leaf anyways. If you can swing the cost buy a Model 3. If not buy the Chevy Bolt. Both are great for their price points.
All he has to do is pull out a picture of the Cybertruck as his insanity plea. It will work.
Neutral: You don’t. We aren’t ready for the massive influx of electrical draw. Let the urbanites deal with the public transit they love so much for commuting with gas to get them out of the city and leave EVs for people with large daily commutes in the suburbs who can charge at their house.
Honestly, I think they just keep doing what they’re doing. Audi, Porsche, GM, and Ford already are headed in a good direction.
Rather than focusing solely on EV’s to help the environment, I would encourage people to leave the car at home and walk more. You know, be a... pedo-guy.
