For any kids trying this at home, abrasive cutting tools are not a great choice for aluminum. They got it to work, but I would assume they seriously loaded up some of those grinding wheels (seems like they changed a few times). For small cross section pieces like those spokes, I would recommend a finely-toothed saber

So what can you, as a new car shopper, do to avoid these mistakes?

I feel like i see these articles fairly regulartly but it seems like loan terms are just extending because cars just last a lot longer than they used to

Back in the 1980's we bought about as many cars as we do today with a population that was a quarter smaller.

So if it’s going to last longer it makes sense people

“Is that positive or negative camber on the front right wheel?”
“Yes.”

My last two cars were former rentals. I saved a ton of money doing that.

yes, but....

So here’s the big question. Why did cars get so damned expensive over the past 5-10 years? Is is straight greed? Is it that the public is stupid enough to sink upwards of $30k into something that is ultimately 4 wheels and an engine and the dealers and manufacturers said “let’s see how far we can push it?”

I’m

Isn’t it fun not to be in debt slavery (for your car, at least)?

And I’m over here daily driving a ‘98 Volvo I bought for $1200 because I’m too scared to get stuck with a payment only to have my life fall apart and not eb able to afford it lol. I desperately want something fun but... eh?

His next video:  “I apologize for everything I said in the previous video, I misspoke...”

Just glad people buy new so I can buy it in five years for $12k.

I love cars...as does just about everyone else on this site, but 72, 85, etc. loans is INSANE.  You don’t need to thump the bible of Dave Ramsey to know how dumb that is.  It’s just so frustrating to see this stuff.

That’s not a lada spokes.

It’s time somebody spoke to him about how stupid this is.

They forgot to rebalance the wheels after cutting out the spokes.

He was just trying to market it to Peugeot.

Actually that means you’re a 0 attention span Gen Z’er. Millennials will watch up to 5 minutes. As Gen X, I can handle up to about a 20 minute youtube video before I refuse to watch. And Boomers can watch videos of infinite length is my understanding.

You never asked these kinds of questions when you were a kid? I’m glad there are some mad Russians answering things like “what if you stuck two cars together?”

This is a weirdly accurate metaphor for how I’m getting through life.
