The Z Proto is SO MUCH cleaner all around, especially in the rear. The rear end of the 350/370Z has always been too bulky.

Dude what are you smoking. I see similar elements that are retained (vertical door handles, cup holder placement, center arm rest design).
I didn’t need the Z to tell me that the Supra is a mess.
only a stroke of brilliance
Go read the companion article over at Revzilla.
I definitely can’t push them that far, but I’d argue Zack and Ari are several hundred levels of better rider than me.
If my internet stalking amateur sleuthing skills are correct, Mr. “My Huracan Sucks” and his wife just had a baby about a month ago. This might not be a good time to drop six figures into the engine of your six figure Italian two-seater/mechanic’s children’s college fund.
My new trillionaire fantasy is going to Mitsubishi and being like “call anyone who worked on the Pajero Dakar program 20 years ago and build me a singular brand-new street-legal SUV with a hilarious engine/transmission combo. Here’s two million bucks to get the ball rolling.”
You make them sound like horrible cars. They still beat the 1.5 turbos in practical fuel economy, and that super low rev gobs of torque is wonderful. No need to baby the throttle. The case for them is harder these days but it is by no means gone. No one is cross shopping a VW diesel with a Tesla.
Have you seen the side by sides of 19 MB Vs 20 RP brake ducts? They look exactly the same, except the RP look like cheap Chinese knockoffs. Where the MB are smooth and precise carbon layups, the RP just look sloppy and thrown together, and have some cast metal components rather than carbon fiber. I won’t be surprised…
They aren’t being petty, there is a chance the Tracing Point is illegal. Tracing Point is REQUIRED by the rules to design and build the brake ducts themselves or get them from a non competing supplier. They can copy Merc as long as it’s just looking at pics and designing their own version. If those brake ducts are…
A Countach. With proper hard lines and wedges, not the softer blobbier shapes that every Lamborghini has had since. Either that or an El Camino, a real coupe/truck hybrid that isn’t a jacked up roided out crewcab mess like current trucks.
I think I have a list...
A few things:
Imagine owning a Ford Ka in Boston and trying to tell people what you drive
I was going to comment the same thing; the finish on that looks atrocious. cheap, shitty unevenly-lit buttons, a naff badly-bezeled LED matrix, wonky phillips self-tappers, and scuffed, wonky-looking panels. Something like that’s enough to make me question the quality of the rest of the build.
