I think it is implied that the trucks of yesteryear were substantially smaller than current trucks, and they aren’t.

The new ranger is closer to the F150, but still doesn’t match the 1993 F150 in any dimension.

As someone who purchased a smaller truck, GMC canyon, I can say after 6 months, I completely get buying the bigger truck. With a kid and wife, the extra space just makes the long drives easier.

Pickup size aren’t that different than 25+ years ago. So, no “small” trucks aren’t coming back.

I think that is ok. why not fix stupid little things?

I know there is alot of ready hate for ‘trucks’ and how useless they are on this website, but there are a few problems with your assumption that a truck is unnecessary and all tradespeople should just use vans.

We need more such streets. Especially in SF residential neighborhoods.

Angled parking is not designed to make backing out easier. It is to save space in the drive aisle. You can reduce from 24’ clear to 20’ for two way opposite angle, and 14’ for one way.

The one thing no one has mentioned is that city roads are crap. And with more people living in denser metro areas they could use the extra suspension a sedan can’t afford.

Funny you choose those 2 examples, because they actually illustrate my point. Both very recent and are still playing out, but from info I know from inside the industry, both cause by very different things.

In the hard-rock collapse, there is currently not suspected to be an issue with design, but issues with

Correction. Software “Engineers” & “Architects” got off easy. Amazing what the lack of professional licensure, testing, verification, & certification will let you get away with. You can run over jay walkers and you can 346 people in fiery plane crashes. Must be fun.

Couple things here to realize. I don’t know if you have ever worked a manufacturing plant construction:

bicycles, pedestrians, and cars do not belong in the same spaces. End of story.

It has its own google map. And no reason (from a traffic flow perspective) for people to hit it.

Question, is the proposed ‘wealth tax’ an annual tax? or a 1-time thing?

Not going to lie. It would be a funny joke if you forgot who said it....

Actually not a huge fan.

Don’t be fooled, this has ALWAYS been the development plan to sell.

This I can confirm. When we look at doing affordable housing, a key element the GOVERNMENT looks at to give us certification for a project is the racial and economic demographics from the CENSUS. No other source is accepted.

uh, this is perfectly normal for any business. Especially one spread throughout the country. That is a shit ton of work they did.
