I don't think I am missing the point. I'm saying yes its impressive engineering, its slightly better than the last 'best car in the world' and will be slightly worse that the one that replaces it. All cars are incremental.

This car is slightly better than the last car and slightly worse than the next.

No I agree with you, they probably don't care about price and do have these other cars. But part of me can't help but think buying it because its the most expensive or best, not because you actually want or need it as a vehicle, is a shame.

I just did the maths with cars available today for sale in Australia, taking middle of the pack prices and some options on the cars:

Is it just me that would prefer to watch videos of the fiesta st than this?
Its amazing but the chances of me even seeing one, let alone owning one, are slim to none.

mate, they Aussies have been doing that for years... :D

it was a bit low however...especially considering the car was a 400km a week daily driver

the heater boxes on the Type 1 motors came in 2 types 'stale air' and 'fresh air'. The fresh air heater tubes use air from the cooling fan which is blown around the header to warm it.

Yeh but the plus side of not running heater boxes is you don't gas yourself with carbon monoxide.

I have no idea why you feel the need to get so upset about this. You make it obvious in your first post that it is an issue that has been discussed in detail previously. It is a subjective scoring system based on the experience of the reviewer. Same as every review system that is currently out there. This suggests

Z- cars make the best twin engined minis...

do it Renault 5 style with a mid mount, rear wheel drive, two seats and zero fucks.

I was given a pair of german 32pdsit carbs off a type 3 for free. I looked at going for webbers etc but I couldn't justify the cost as I was saving for a SC12 supercharger for it.

Sorry, I didn't write that as clearly as I should have. I changed cars from a Mitsubishi Legnum and bought the Beetle. Although the Legnum should have been the more enjoyable car to drive the Beetle was more fun by a mile. People underestimate the fun to be had with a small motor and even smaller tyres.

I have to agree with you, I dropped from a twin turbo 4wd V6 to a 1960Bug and it was a fantastic decision. After I built the new engine for the bug I'd guess I had 80-85hp. Combined with a short shift kit and the low ratio 1200 gearbox it was an absolute hoot. You could actually hit the limiter, work the gears and

jesus tittyfucking christ!

$400k is a bit high

theyt did a limited run od polestar S60's in australia only, i think it was to correspond with them entering our v8 supercar series next year.

if you're not using two hands...you aren't trying hard enough
