No, mr 5 fences is somewhat right if you restate it as “It might as well be, if you want to be a productive member of American society.”, and it is a problem. Outside of a few city centers in the US, if you are unable to drive you can find yourself struggling to earn a living leading. This leads to where we are today…
Yeah we have the right to bear arms too but that doesn’t mean there aren’t also restrictions on owning a gun in a similar capacity to restrictions on who is allowed to drive.
Aren’t we all?
Again, it’s your deliberately pedantic interpretation that you’re assuming a minority of other people observe or adhere to - which in and of itself is pretty specious. No one who fails their drivers test or gets caught driving under the influence (or reads Jalopnik) has ever said said “but it’s my right to drive”.
True this. Lack of suburban and rural public transportation, coupled with the fact that most people not in a large city work even in other towns.
This was, indeed, needlessly pedantic. It’s understood that when people say “the right to drive” that the mean the ability to earn the privilege of driving.
It might as well be, if you want to be a productive member of society.
Let them drive already, just as long as they have their husband or brother riding with them.
But how are they supposed to see well enough to see?
