You can get a different wheel/rim for the snow tires with a more standard size. With your price difference, you should be able to buy less expensive rims and tires that fit. Agree at that temp too, but warm weather use will quickly wear down the soft compound. Where I live, clocks get reset, fire alarm batteries replaced and tires get swapped around the same time.

You missed where I was talking about those that lost their jobs at the bottoms of the economic cycle. These people are especially sensitive to cash flow. If you think people can save enough to continue investing while they look for jobs, you are well above top 5% income if not 1% to have that different view.

Need to have regular cash flow.  If the economy tanks, people loose jobs.  They miss out on buying at the bottom.

Did the weight calculations in the article include the support structures? A lot of times a “battery” is defined to be the interchangeable box with controllers and crash protection included. This adds excess weight when comparing to just the liquid gasoline energy density.
