I’m surprised you didn’t know this but modern vehicles don’t have exposed bumpers, they have have “bumper covers”, a usually plastic fitting over the actual bumper.... And I wouldn’t say the 3s hood line is low, it’s pretty average compared to most other cars.

These are cars with smallish bumper covers, such as the porsche 911... Big bumper cars like the model 3 just don’t look very good without one.

Even worse it can’t do cocaine... That’s definitely gonna hurt the battery range.

A strip of black paint is impractical.... And why do you think the Model S has a grill? Because it’s aesthetically pleasing, many people buy cars based on looks, most cars would look flat out wrong without grills.

What’s impractical about a grill? It doesn’t even have to be a real one (for aerodynamics sake), just paint it black, give this thing a mouth.

It’s a face... With it’s mouth sewn shut, poor model 3 can’t even eat bugs :(.

Porsches do have grills (really low ones), don’t like vw bugs (not for that reason though), and corvairs are ugly.

Super and hyper cars with really low hood lines pull it off... They gave the model S a grill and it looks great, the 3 just looks like an extremely dumbed down S.

I would think he’s comparing it to maybe the 3 series or something in that general spectrum... I remember reading Christian von Koenigsegg saying the model S was more fun to drive than an m5, so I could believe it.

Yeah they really missed the boat on that, apparently Musk is deadset on it not having a dedicated cluster... He’s a weird one that’s for sure.

You really shouldn’t have to install 3rd party hardware just to give your new car a functional instrument cluster... Especially on a vehicle being marketed as the “future”.
