That poor, poor oyster.
As long as they are outnumbered by moral SCOTUS opinions, they can spew their hate and fascism into a vacuum. But even two more and the horror is legitimated.
Yes, and then there are those corrupt city officials approving taxpayer-paid mega stadiums instead of support for schools and vital infrastructure. Lots and lots of money for the billionaires and their hangers-on.
Thank you for this excellent post. Your points are thoughtful and well made. Your home state may have produced a monster like Cheney, but it also produced you. It’s not simple.
This horrifying policy is clearly unconstitutional, and the ACLU is working to stop it:
So, after 1 (one) organization man takes 100% of the rap for this horror the rest of the complicit suits expect to walk away without consequences. “How naughty of him, but how were we supposed to know?”
No, that is still not addressing their freedom of speech rights and it also wipes out their consistent statements that they are doing it specifically to protest racist police brutality. Plus, not everyone is religious and would be willing to lie about it.
I want to add that we should also be calling out the media on their failure to accurately describe her behavior accurately as the racist and conspiratorial lying that it is. Using polite euphemisms in situations like this strengthens the case of the racists and liars and undermines truth:
Glad to hear the show was cancelled (https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/reliable-source/wp/2018/05/29/roseanne-went-on-a-vitriolic-and-racially-charged-twitter-rampage-now-shes-apologizing/?wpmk=1&wpisrc=al_news__alert-entertain—alert-national), but she should never have been given that platform for her hateful lies…
This sounds like it was a fun contest, but are the recipes themselves family secrets? I see one of the participants posted her recipe in the comments, and I am grateful, but would also like to try some of the others.
I wonder if the ghost writer asked for payment up front.
The Daily Beast has a good idea: the NFL is apparently getting away with this because they are classified as a “private corporation.” So there is no excuse for not treating it like one. TAX THEM. It’s way beyond time to end the NFL owners’ status as untaxed billionaire welfare queens.
Ah yes, those soulful big blue eyes, the windows of his (alleged) soul.
Too bad they couldn’t invite Harry’s friends the Obamas — had to avert Trump jealous nastiness. Imagine how beautiful Michelle would have been and how much they would have enjoyed the inclusive ceremony.
Ghouliani has a personal space entitlement proportional to his ego and expects his goons and lackeys to clear away the riffraff.
Yes, a lot to hide. Now we hear that the Treasury Dept has begun an investigation ... looking for the whistleblower. I have seen no official statement of concern about the disappearance of the filed SARs or indication that the missing financial data are being sought.
I am assuming (hoping) the information in the two missing SARs is still recoverable from the bank that issued them, but this is a really disturbing development. Also makes me wonder about the accessibility of the many SARs that surely were triggered by the operations of Trump shell companies and other players in this…
Remember when Trump’s first wife Ivana said Trump was reluctant to give their first son his own name?
Yes, and he knows it because his god picked him as the bestest, most righteous leader for the End Days. Beyond creepy: dangerous.
