In my view the choices did work well to extend and build the artistic vision begun in the first film, so we agree there. No question, this film is a work of art and I will never forget it. But I did not like the story or subscribe to the logic of the future-world building. It remained beautifully realized but

Sorry for the preachiness. I was preaching to myself too.

I can’t imagine the initial theater version being a two-part, 4 hour production. But I can easily see this extended-extended cut as a special item sold to fans of the movie. And I can also see how a passionate artiste in love with his creation and given enough power and resources would think a 4 hour run time was a

That’s really interesting. You may be onto something.

Well, there are some that are more fun to watch than others, but this one is one of the best. I’m a fan. Usually. :)

Thank you, thank you, thank you! James, I don’t know how you have had time to live a life while compiling your stupendous photo, GIF, and vid archives, but I’m glad you’ve managed it. What would we do without you?

Oh yeah, Trump doesn’t have any links to money laundering or Russian organized crime, right?

Just saw this too late to add in an edit: the potential conflation of homosexuality and pedophilia raised by Spacey’s “come-out,” which I raised in my previous comment, has been pointed out:

Corey Feldman has pointed out that California’s laws on sexual assault, even of minors, have a statute of limitations that means that he would be open to lawsuit if he named names. (Presumably this also applies to Spacey’s assault of a 14 year old in 1986.)

Yes, that certainly happens: a sort of auditory matrixing. I have experienced that many times, I think all of us have. But sometimes we may also “hear” actual, clear voices, and they can even sound like someone we know.

Yeah, that was one hell of a game last night.

Interesting post! Here’s a related article that explores auditory hallucinations in healthy people who self-identify as psychics, in people with psychotic disorders, and in the general population. Hearing a voice in your head at some point is very common, and for some people it happens often. So easy to overlook

No, sorry, I don’t read the comics either and I don’t recall the post-credits scenes. It’s been a while since I saw that movie. Maybe someone else here will see this and answer your question.

This Washington Post article excerpted below is a must-read. Ramos certainly looks guilty as hell, and I suspect the governor of PR may not have clean hands in this either. I’d love for Zinke to be shown complicit too, but he is a slippery guy.

Related and not to be missed: Conan O’Brien does a Clueless Gamer on this game with Aaron Rogers:

I can’t think of anything but a high-flying bird as a possible cause of the dent, and we know they do fly high and are the right weight range for the observed damage. It’s one of those freaky good luck/bad luck situations: bad that the strike happened, good that it was positioned so it didn’t destroy something vital.

Yes, that one was so satisfying. It also shows that his offhand Thor bop was just a love tap.

Yup, having limited higher mental functions and no conscience would be something they could bond over.
