“Does it have enough cachet to compete with the the Urus and the Bentayga?”
True but I’m weirdly purist like that.
I’m in England and both of the cars you mention are everywhere. The peugeot only stands out briefly because they’ve managed to make it even uglier. This, this Nissan, the Renault Kumfart or whatever its called, all of them. In a sack. Beaten with pipes. Dogshit the lot of them.
No, the comparison to Nissan is allowed. Look at the outside of the thing.
And add in the likihood of a French version being just a bit different in unexpected places.
Tokyo is awesome for random weird car spotting. My two faves from the last time I was there:
A Maybach in Whitby? Whaaa?
You are not alone. Although I’ve thought more along the lines of the Giula Quad engine.
That’s weird. I was in Oshawa in Feb and I saw a dark grey AMG R63. I had trouble explaining to the family why this was such a unicorn. I also know of 3 XJ220s in collections in and around GTA.
China Eastern by any chance?
I fully support anything that reduces F1 content reaching people.
Next time go for a lounge there. It eases the pain somewhat. 15 mins in general population at Heathrow is a killer.
I spent 4 hours in a metal room with an angry, armed Chinese border guard who would shout at me in a language I didn’t speak if I made any sound. Eventually a man arrived to tell me I was suspected of being a drug smuggler. This ‘misunderstanding’ was resolved in the end but I am nervous every single time I land in…
What makes a race series interesting?
I really wanted to love this. The previews looked ace.
What is your position then? That we shouldn’t bother trying?
4th gear
It’s a pretty small number, to be honest. At the very most it would be about 75 people, but it could be as few as 25 to 30, depending on how we structure things.
I’ve been on a single flight this year. I’ve carved back my vehicle travel considerably. I don’t go out unless I absolutely have to. So it’s a wild to me that we’ve only seen the smallest dent in emissions growth.
Anywhere in England where dickheads in Merc/Audi/BMW SUVs roam.
