NOO. Because its Drive Tribe and the interface actively hates the end user.
I got a baby TVR vibe as well.
F1 rule changes do nothing but shake up who figures out the secret sauce magic combination of right driver/car config that stands up to protest. Whoever that is has the advantage for 5 years. Then rule change and it moves to someone else. Or it doesn’t. F1 could mandate everyone needs a unicorn hood ornament and…
Modern Brubaker Box!
What an awkward looking thing.
Because German cars have to be ugly.
I think mine was more a case of oh, so its...wilfully odd. Ok, fine. The early ones were a bit more raw, the later ones more polished the gt3 thingy was quick, sure but they just didn’t seem that exciting. I came from a Lotus Elise where the handling is sublime, so they didn’t really handle all that well by comparison.…
997.2 3.8 manual, 991 gt3 something or other, a handful of mid 80s carreras, a bunch of 964s. And none of them resonated with me at all. I wish I could understand the fascination. It feels like something is missing in my brain. But they just leave me cold.
Such a lovely little thing in standard form.
What did he do with the factory drivelines?
I had one and mostly daily drove it for a decade. This is painfully familiar.
I don’t hate the 911, I just don’t care for it. I just don’t get them? I’ve driven a bunch because once you meet a 911 owner and it comes to light that you like cars inevitably the 911 comes up. I squirm and look a bit awkward. Then it moves on to ‘maybe you haven’t sampled a good one’. And so I’ve tried a fair few of…
No, it’s still hideous. It’s just less hideous than the shite BMW is pushing out now.
“Man, why did I grow up hating those things?”
Interesting, thanks for the reply. I’ve done a few seasons in club level racing, built a few race cars, so maybe that’s skewing my perspective. Also Silverstone is god awful dull unless you have all the horsepower.
Genuine question, what is it about it that you find interesting. I’ve avidly watched the Binky build and I’m desperate to see what they do with the carbon fiber MG shell but watching them build a spec series car and race it was the dullest thing I’ve seen in ages.
Hard to believe some don’t consider this real racing.
