V10 Audi R8. B&O sound, tons of power, and it's extremely modern.
Those black seats!
I'm surprised you didn't buy an ex U-haul for $4000 and sell it at the end of the trip to see if it would be cheaper.
What got you into journalism?
Simply seeing cars that I can't afford at this point in my life.
You might be on to something there! Even if I were rich, I could never justify spending that much on a car. I see volvo as a premium car or near luxury car. I think they're about in the same position as Kia is. Kia's K900 is getting close to $70k fully loaded, it is good value, but at the end of the day, I'd rather…
LOL. That Fit is $35,000 cheaper. I know it's not close to the same size, but am I the only one on here that thinks the new Volvos are vastly overpriced? All Volvo has is that rear light design that the CRV, escalade, and fit have now. Volvo used to be a company that stood out from the rest, but now it looks like the…
Am I the only one who thinks Volvo stole the looks from Jaguar? I remember when Volvos used to look like Volvos. Volvo has no sense in styling anymore and that's coming from someone who grew up in Volvos
If you took the steering wheel away, I would've thought it was a grand cherokee. I'm not impressed. For a little bit more (after tax credits), people are going to buy the Tesla Model X instead. Volvo in the 80's used to be the go to company because for just a little more than a camry, you could have a 240 that was…
Good question! The sticker price does not include taxes, tags, and dealer fees, but! if you haggle with the dealer to finance the car instead of leasing, you can get the price down to $33k. That being said, after everything is said and done, you're spending about the same as the sticker price out the door.
Honestly, that's your best bet and you'll save a lot of money doing it that way too. You get a free trip out of it, a tour of the factory, drive it on the autobahn, and you'll still be spending less than the sticker price out the door. Good luck when the time comes!
I recently went to see what type of deal I could get on a BMW 320i "Jalopnik Special" (with added heated seats and moonroof (in Maryland they won't let you lease a car without those options because it's hard for the dealership to sell the car afterward)) and they gave me the same option of $309/mo which indeed sounds…
link please?
I hope you're right
The bigger problem is that most people in the 18-27 age group are stupid with their finances and either have no credit or bad credit. This car buying segment should be focusing a lot more on guiding that group on making smarter financial decisions since that's a good percentage of the readers here. I know this is a…
You should make a video of how your buddy made all of those modifications so other can do the same!
For $4300, I'd make that my weekend off roader. That person could probably ask for $6000 and get it. NP.
When I have kids I'll gladly get a minivan. It's the only type of car other than a suburban that I can fit comfortably in the 3rd row seat. Have you been in the back seat of a Sienna Limited? It's like being in the back seat of a 7 series BMW for a third of the price. Imagine hiring a babysitter for the night and…
It might not exactly be cheap, but it's the experience and the awesome bragging rights you gain from it.
