When I was around 5 years old and the world didn't look down on you for letting your kids sit upfront, my father would drive me around in his Volvo station wagon (at the time it was a 850R 5MT) and he would allow me to shift gears for him. Fast forward about 5-6 years later, we were at our beach house in Lewes, DE…
I'm glad you guys are really enjoying your Outback! I'm currently driving a 2007 CRV, but it's getting traded for the 2015 Outback in the next few months, because, lets face it, the Outback is a much better car. I don't currently have kids, but from everyone I know who has children, they love them and they talk about…
The V70 is definitely a much bigger wagon, Volvo calls the V60 a wagon, but it's pretty much the size a focus hatchback, it's slopes too much in the back for it to actually be a wagon. In my family we had a 740, 240, and two 850 wagons (one was an R) and they were proper wagons. The XC70 is a proper wagon, but I don't…
It becomes a problem if you keep the car for more than 3 years lol
I think that's a great car, but it doesn't baby as well as it should, very little rear legroom and the trunk is very tiny for what it is and can't handle strollers and groceries at the same time. For the same price, I'd upgrade to the XC60 R-Design
Clearly the new Subaru Outback, huge trunk, great MPG, can handle abuse, best AWD system in it's class, and it's about $15-20k cheaper than it's comparable Volvo. Look at how happy that father is!
You're doing a great job with the "Truck Yeah!" articles, Andrew, keep up the good work! Hopefully in the near future you'll get the opportunity to drive the 2015 Subaru Outback and write an article on that!
I think the real answer should be a used 2011 Cayman S that already took the deprecation hit
It's like that in my CRV too
It's like NASCAR, except not, but actually worth watching.
I fear that one day it will be mended by a guy named Keith.
It's like the article Doug posted a few months ago when he compared his 2004 (I think) E63 wagon to a 2014 E63 wagon. The thing that made the newer version of his car worth the $120,000 price tag was the warranty. I'm not your typical "jalop" who owns an old Miata and works on it every weekend. I'm not very…
I don't understand why everyone thinks the banks owe them. If I mess up in life and am on the verge of having my house foreclosed on and my cars taken away, it's not the banks fault, it would be mine. People in the world have to stop expecting the banks and the government to take care of them. In real life, when you…
Volvo 240/740/850 owners have to be the worst. My parents used to own them, but when they owned them they were new with a warranty and once the warranty ran out, it was time for a new car. The owners of that car that bought them new aren't annoying, it's the current owners who mod the turbos and complain when…
I'd rather spend a bit more and get a real 911
Safety happened to road legal cars
$18,000 is a good price for the shell alone, I would just convert it back 964 engine.
