Congratulations, Mr. BahamaTodd, on COTD! I would like to gift you with a Kia which this lovely lady will deliver after she crosses the finish line.

Have you tuned series carbs before?!?!

Based upon how problematic the Bosch L-Jetronic is on these things (my fuel injection wiring harness literally caught on fire once, have had injectors clog up, fuel hoses rupture, etc), I’ve been considering doing it to mine for some time.

*When the carbs are tuned correctly.

Or “In Time”

They have corrected the biggest problem the car had - the mechanicals. Trying to keep an XKE running was a nightmare, the very reason I rejected the idea of owning one. I would buy one with an electric drivetrain in a heartbeat. I well remember my MGB with its mufflers that I replaced it seems every 6 months.

The soul of these cars was in the way they made you feel when you drive them top down and pure sex missle.....not in the engine noise (though I like me some good noise).

I love this. This is how we should modernize old cars if cars of a certain age are eventually banned like in some European cities.

This looks straight outta Gattaca

Congratulations, Mr. Deckard, on COTD! I would like to gift you with an airplane which will be delivered to you by this lovely lady. There will be no Code Brown.

At some point in a gearhead’s life, we mature beyond the posters of supercars and top trumps specs, and realize that there will always be something faster, something more expensive, something sleeker. That’s when we turn into Torchinsky and start looking for weird instead of exotic.

I think this could work, as long as the wight was able to sense the living enough to actuate the run/attack reflex. I’m not saying it won’t take a bit of research, but I think you’re on the right track.

See, this is why nobody wants to hang out with you anymore.

SO ARE YOU

*best.
