With that roofline, I expect this will be a 4 door when it comes to market.
As the buyer of a 2020 Chrysler 300 in October of 2020, it’s a pretty nice car overall. And frankly if you want a full size sedan with a V8 and NOT spend $50k+ it’s about your only option.
Will they refuse to work on my hog if they see me wearing my $49 “Harley Davison” pleather vest instead of their $355 official H-D apparel?
That generation was not only the most hideous-looking Maxima, but possibly the ugliest car from any manufacturer.
The early nineties were a sweet time for Nissan. I owned a ‘91 Sentra...great car that felt like more than I paid for. The Maxima, original Altima, ZX, Hardbody...excellent lineup. Then the decontenting started...
And it survives the test!
The 4-door sports car moniker was actually accurate for a while. The Maxima had great power, was larger than the competition, and more luxurious, especially after Toyota went on their de-contenting binge in the late 90s and 2000s.
Yeah, that’s a mean sled.
Gosh, that ‘o4 Maxima in the image is pretty sad looking.
See, they install that RTV sealant at the factory. There’s nothing we can do about that.
You don’t want this. You think you do, but you don’t.
Toyota just needs to ditch Subaru and put in their own i4 in the GT86.
If the engine rebuilder builds it ‘by the book’ as Toyota claims, would the mechanic use the same ridiculous amount of RTV sealant on the oil pan gasket like they do on the assembly line, which caused this whole debacle in the first place?
Even Toyota can’t fix Subaru.
Interestingly, this guy scoped his oil pan while doing his first oil change at 1000'ish miles and it sure does look like a fat rope of RTV squished into the inside (around the 5:12 mark). I can easily believe a few heat cycles and a little G-loading will start to peel that loose, and once a little goes, a lot will…
Along with the bz4x buy back, seems like everything that involves Subaru is shit.
