If by that you mean grouping EVAP related codes into a seperate category of CEL, that makes sense. Within the world of EVAP leaks though the car couldn’t know if it was a gas cap specifically or a leak somewhere else.
If you’re getting multiple misfires, something absolutely horrible IS happening (active misfires will trigger a flashing CEL) and you should stop driving the car sooner than later (driving it to the shop is fine, however).
