Go Jackets!

If there was no budget, I would've said this

"The problem is that following a car (or 18-wheeler) closer than 100 feet at the speeds you need to travel for it to make a difference (say, 80 mph) is extremely unsafe. That's a following distance of less than 1 second."

Or you could be badasses and kill the engine while coasting down hill. Incredibly dangerous, but with electric steering it should be easier.

Not true. I've had my friends pop up and those moments are absolutely fraught with peril.

Yea that's why I listed etc.. at the end. Those were just a few examples of my favorites.

more like $22k high. Ba-dum-tisshhh

That tells me the price of Kia Optimas is WAY too high.

Pontiac. It went from being alive to being dead.

They all suck in their own special ways!

His tolerance is much higher!!! Plus he's used to that loud 993...

Automotive Engineer here yes.

Engineer here.

Meanwhile, in Hethel, Lotus's new CEO is most fascinated in building an SUV. Which is truer to the spirit of Lotus — an Esprit revival or a Cayenne competitor?

Ha ha, well if a car appreciates on their own that's fine; that's the "market" (see I'm using words you like). But I think its important NOT to think of them as such.

I bottomed out an S-10 on a road near Tulane in New Orleans. It was pretty amazing since the street was lined with what I am sure are nearly million dollar houses. I'm happy to report they have since resurfaced that road and it's not so bad, but there are still plenty of roads I wouldn't dare take a car down.

Yeah the "slow" 328 is pretty quick now. The 335i is properly fast.

Unless we're getting powertrain specs nobody cares.

I'm assuming the author only means International Travel? Flying domestically the way I survive the airport is TSA PreCheck and showing up no more than 60 minutes before my flight takes off. That way I don't have to sit in the airport, which is the worst part of air travel. The last thing I want to do is add two hours

Yeah, but the race stewards can let you in anyway. Not sure how I feel about that exemption.
