I bottomed out an S-10 on a road near Tulane in New Orleans. It was pretty amazing since the street was lined with what I am sure are nearly million dollar houses. I'm happy to report they have since resurfaced that road and it's not so bad, but there are still plenty of roads I wouldn't dare take a car down.

This is true, but essentially at the core they are the same engine. Same displacement, stroke, bore, bore centers, heads, cams (I think), similar exhaust, same ECU with different parameters...I mean yeah they are listed as different engines but basically the same minus the few things you listed.

Considering all of the VW group's products, many of them high-end, it makes sense to change the name to something less brand specific.

Exactly. Once you go over about 4 grand, you're either paying for something so large it will be a pain in the ass for her to wear, or you're paying for that last extra bit of clarity that no one can see without magnification.... not to mention, 4 grand on a single ring is stupid.
