The location of this race screams anything but premium product to me.

What an awful place to race. The Dolphins stadium is no more Miami than Newark is Manhattan.
The system is named “Full Self Driving”
Don’t forget that Tesla has told the state of California that the vehicle is not self driving in its quarterly safety filings. People are paying $10k to be beta testers of a system that Tesla themselves does not believe to be autonomous.
Definitely read it, don’t agree whatsoever. Not an issue that needs to be “fixed” via legislation or externally controlled.
Speed related crashes occur more commonly on 2 or 4 lane roads with 50-60mph limits - 2/3rds of “speed related” crashes are drivers traveling “too fast for conditions”.
“I’ve never honestly gone 100 mph in it”
And to think this used to be a website for car enthusiasts. We have staff writers asking why fast cars are allowed to be fast. Yikes.
90mph in a performance oriented vehicle when there are no other cars around is not a “dangerous speed”. Speed is not inherently dangerous - looking derestricted Autobahn crash and fatality rates, which are lower than those of US interstates.
Coming into T1 at Roebling Road at ~150mph and realizing that the MR2 three cars ahead had just blown its motor and dropped oil all over the track.
ok.
Like most of the critics in this thread, I suspect this car is not in your price range anyway.
The exhaust change definitely sounds better and would make a bit more power as it’s on Motronic 2.7.
Huh? The major service was just done, along with tens of thousands in labor receipts.
Cat removal and tinted taillights are a red flag?
Would you not rather have $11-13k in your pocket too? It feels like you’re missing that part of the equation. The ND Miata is 2x the price.
ND Miata makes 25% less power and costs ~2x as much.
I thought mine was pretty great. It was a fun 3rd car.
Luckily, they made a ton of S2000s so they will never go for crazy money except for very low mileage examples and CRs.
It’s not a full F model in terms of brakes, diff, suspension, etc. This car is competing against the C43 and M340i, which have base MSRPs of $56,500 and $54,700, respectively. So the IS 500 base MSRP will be around those prices. Obviously more with options.
