Yeah, “things are slowly starting to normalize” is not anywhere close to accurate.

I couldn’t see the front hood to confirm, but rear lip spoiler and black roof do look like a 507.

Yep, 451 without the development pack. What are you defining as bolt-ons?

Unless it has a supercharger, there is absolutely no way a 6.2L M156 is making anywhere close to 600hp, much less 650.

With a tune, the limiter is removed and the car makes at least 500hp from the 6.2L V-8. It absolutely can go 191.

CP. For around the same money you can get a mid-mileage (~100k) AP1 S2000. If you want a Honda/Acura with performance and that will hold value. Alternatively, Civic Si sedans from around this time are very cheap and just as much fun as this TL.

Your previous post said “you have to convince the public they’re worth buying though”, which Honda seems to have done. Until very recently, many of them had $5-10k dealer markups and were still selling.

The Civic Type R has sold like hotcakes. Honda only just caught up to demand after 3 full years of production.

No, households making more than $100k make up 31% of the US population, and in many cities, a “typical” (2 adults, 2 children) household earning $100k is below the median HH income. Median HH income in the US is just shy of $80k ($1530/wk).

Yep, I agree. We’ve been very fortunate to both keep our jobs, save quite a bit of money from staying home all the time, etc. I was looking at picking up a toy in the $40-50k range, because some really cool/exotic machinery has gotten cheap on the used market as a result of the pandemic.

I understand the automakers (and everyone else) want to get going again so they don’t have to furlough employees and can get back to making money.

People living paycheck to paycheck are exactly the people who go out and buy new F-150s with 72 month financing.

So if your expenses were greater than 60% of wages (as is the case witht he vast majority of Americans), what then? A $1200-$2400 check isn’t much in most parts of the country. And that’s only for people in those income brackets.

Nope. Used to have a used car dealership.

Except Manheim values have absolutely plummeted, so the “send it to auction” option doesn’t really exist. The options are “sell to some shmoe” or “hold it (and pay floorplan) until better conditions come around”

Higher current or lower stick speed. Or both. Those welds are trash and probably won’t hold up well if they are subjected to loading.

I wouldn’t particularly trust KBB on anything that isn’t a very common car model, and even then, take it with a big grain of salt.

If you can wait a year for the Phoenix Yellow limited edition, that will be the one to have in terms of residual value/collectability.

Yep, I almost didn’t buy one because I thought the looks were too boy-racer.
