This. Unless you bought a McLaren F1 or an old V12 Ferrari back when they were <$10k, cars are an exceedingly poor long-term investment vehicle.

Nowhere in the US has commercial-supply electricity rates that high. Even Puerto Rico (where the fuel has to be shipped in by sea and their grid is falling apart) has commercial rates that are below 36 cents per kWh.

Balloon loan. It’s a loan with a residual payment (called a balloon payment) at the end. At the end of the loan, you can either surrender the car or pay the balloon payment.
