Who wants a car that is uncomfortably small inside even for “normal” sized people? Come on Alpha, when 6'6" guys can fit in and drive a 2200lb Toyota MR2 you have NO excuse other than ignorance or spite as to why the 4C interior is only made for tiny frail grandmas. What is everyone in Modena 5' tall?

I didn’t pick that speed, someone else did. If you wouldn’t have a problem doing 130MPH with a 70 year old novice driver in a non-race prepped car more power to you! I tend to be much more risk averse.

You are probably correct, as a pilot I must just have better judgement than to allow a novice (and a 70 year old one at that) drive 130MPH with me in their car.

If I was an HPDE instructor I would NEVER let an novice driver in a non-caged car go that fast with me in the passenger seat.

Understood, but this happened while wearing helmets and on a racetrack specially designed to help mitigate serious crashes. 

He had an instructor in the car who I doubt would let him get going that fast. But along those lines, maybe he ran off the track and into the trees.

Was his car a convertible? I just find it odd that the cars factory safety equipment didn’t do a better job at protecting them.

I wish I still had my 240Z from all those years ago. The best felling in the world was the pull of that inline 6 engine with the rear wheels almost touching the rear of your seat. It would eat corners without so much as a chirp from the rear wheels.

Agreed, everybody should follow the FAA rules. But if his idea of a “competitive advantage” is paying $150 to take a test any 6th grader can study for and pass I can see his problem from here.

How about just selling me just the blade cartridge itself? My cars OEM wiper arm is much higher quality than that China piece of crap with plastic adapter pieces and garbage rubber that lasts for exactly 9 months in the sun.

Let’s not forget the loose drivers seat which didn’t help the situation. “a deathbox with a seat that wasn’t screwed down properly”

How about working on a fix to leave the audio system on mute when I shut off and restart the car? You can add custom Santa or 007 modes but you can’t remember the muted state for the audio system after being turned off for 30 seconds? If Kia can do it I’m almost certain Tesla can too.
