Yes it is. Charlie Hebdo used satire to skewer Islamic bigots. Gellar, as much as people hate her, is doing the same in this instance. She is pointing out, in the clearest way possible, that depictions of Mohammed, a CLEAR example of free speech if there ever was one, is directly and provably under violent assault.

Gellar points out that the SPLC does not categorize any jihadist group as a hate group, which, if true, means their opinion of her is suspect.

Victim blaming and pointing out the lack of wisdom shown in taking a certain action are not the same thing, although they commonly get conflated.

Muslims are presecutied in other countries often because of their beliefs. In many European countries women do not go out in public without the full hijab or a burka, and it’s OK to criticize that as being anti-woman, anti-feminist claptrap.

No, he should be drawn with aplomb. It is STUPID to say that your beliefs are so holy that the prophet can’t be depicted in ink.

But those events don’t happen now. Comparing the Crusades in the 12th century to Islamic extremists in the 21st is kinda silly.

Actually, the comparison is apt, except that Texas, bless it’s soul, was prepared for the violence.

They do exist, but in her opinion they choose to ignore the hateful words that are found in the Quran. They aren’t the problem; it’s the people who choose to follow those words that are the problem. There’s a lot of great things in the Quran, just like the Bible, but pointing out that most people follow the good laws

Although as Gellar points out, the SPLC has not named any jihadist group a hate group. I don’t know if it is true or not, but if it is, it makes their opinion of her group suspect.

Because it’s a demonstrably ridiculous idea that we should choose not to offend others just because they say so. I don’t respect a belief system that demands we not portray their prophet as an illustration. That is backwards, medieval thinking and has no place in 2015.

I will always upvote this gif whenever and wherever I see it.

I’m assuming you mean EDM...I’m a club DJ...but at a Salsa club. So it’s all salsa, bachata, timba, merengue, etc...it’s a bit more...dressy.

Sounds more like you had a serious problem with your airline, not SFO. I fly out of SFO all the time, and while I've flown out of better airports, I can't say I've ever had any seriously horrible experiences there, or at least none that were related to the airport itself.

I never thought it was that bad. Been through there a few times.

What everyone is missing here is that companies fire people, across the spectrum, in this way because of purely legal reasons.

You know, when I was growing up in Oklahoma, and going to Church regularly, we'd always hear all the time about people who had lived a horrible life of "sin" and were only able to fix themselves by finding Jesus.

Men do not bust balls any more than women do; Women can and do berate people just as well as men can in the workforce.

Baloney. "We're trained to address personal differences between equals directly and forcefully, and most of the time that works. " is crap. It's one thing to be honest, its another to be a jerk about it. The author of the post gave specific instances where bosses threw tirades, temper tantrums, and raised their

You sound like the exact sort of person I would hate to work for. Get over yourself. Mean people suck.
