It makespperfect sense to me that the throttle not return to 0 because then I can just set it to cruise on the highway. Look at the throttle on a boat or plane, that doesn’t return to 0. Just cause you’re too stupid to figure it out doesn’t mean that no one else can either. 

Really, can you name me more than 3 or 4 mainstream hybrid suvs that a common person can buy that doesn’t cost more than 50 grand?

Maybe if you’d just read the manual, you would understand why the pedal has a special new design feature to make it not return. Or are you too stupid to read the manual, or my post, and just understand even though it’s not intuitive at all, as you keep trying to point out in your victim blaming?

Fine, you go drive a car where the gas pedal doesn’t auto return to 0% throttle because someone designed it so you can have it hold a certain throttle position. All you have to do is not be a fucking moron and lift the pedal with your toe. Go ahead and pretend that it’s OK because you’re better than everyone else.

Does it sound harsh if I hope someday you lose a loved one in an accident because some idiot design engineer decided to make the flight controls push down for nose up and pull back for nose down? Because as you’ve said, idiot pilot should’ve evolved to not be an idiot and not revert back to instinct and muscle memory…
