What year was the 3 series? I drove a friends 2012 3 series and the 8-speed was tolerable. You definitely felt a slight delay in shifting but it didn't have the feel of a slushbox.

If you lived here, I'd let you take my car with a DCT around the block. In sport mode, it's hilarious. The shifts are INSTANTANEOUS. Like, it shifts so fast that it'll literally shift before the paddle shifter pops back forward when I pull on it. Down shifts are rev matched perfectly every time.
