My experience was that there was no choice of swimwear for swim team. When my hair started growing out of my suit (at the age of 12), I ended up quitting swim team because I didn't know what to do. Would have LOVED to get waxed!
My husband and I are childfree and usually don't pay that much attention to our friends' parenting. But last year we had some house guests with a 5-year-old, and invited over for the day some local friends with a child the same age so they could play. Absolutely!
Hand wash in cool water in the sink and lay flat to dry. :-)
