I'd rather see a tournament full of normal people play a game like this instead of pros, it's much more entertaining when the people playing aren't the best of the best.

The sexy characters themselves aren't a problem. It's part of the game's charm. It's that they're the focus of the game marketing, to the point where they define the franchise for non-players. All I can say is i'm actually glad that 343 has the reigns over Halo and not Bungie.
