I hate to sound insensitive because I was a fan of her acting, Election is one of my favorite movies and she was one of my favorite parts of it. But her obituary mentions she was a “naturopathic practitioner” which it needs to be said is not recognized as a legitimate medical profession, it relies on pseudoscience,

If a flat licensing fee is all it takes, newsflash: you’re still supporting her brand and raising her negotiating power on future deals. You buy, she still wins. It’s Warner Bros, don’t give that BS “developers hurt” argument. They’re not a small time game company, they’re a large conglomerate paying their dev teams a

You don’t have to galaxy-brain argue the transparent fact that buying the game based on the author’s franchise will benefit the author.

Why can’t you buy it? Do you have a copy of Rowling’s payment contract in front of you? How do you know she didn’t get paid a flat licensing fee up front and makes no money off the back-end sales?

Because she owns the Harry Potter franchise. Because some people don’t want to participate in a financial transaction to purchase a product when you know a bigot like Joan will be profiting off it. It’s not rocket science.

This is sad.

“And we pray everyone will have forgotten rowling’s bigotry by then.”

I’ve been wanting a HP open-world game more than I can express since the first book came out, and now I’m not even sure I can buy it in good conscience. It’s incredibly disappointing.

Lots of people are pointing at assassins creed, but it’s the division dev on the divison engine, so I’m assuming it’ll have a very different feel. (and we won’t just be climbing star wars towers to reveal star wars maps with star wars collectables.)

I’ll take it.  I’m playing AC: Odyssey right now.  If it is half as good as this I’ll have a fun time.

The fact that there are corporate ‘donations’(They’re bribes)is what led to corporations owning the country more than the public and the government do. Take money out of politics, and maybe, MAYBE we get more humanized officials that are less profit-at-the-expense-of-others-driven

This article is why I will never ever: https://www.vulture.com/2020/10/review-wiz-khalifa-hotbox-by-wiz.html

I’m excited. “The Endless” was rad.

These academic journals are parasites. They don’t even pay their reviewers who do the work for them.

This has a real ‘internet of the ‘00s’ vibe to it, and that’s high praise.

András was the one that got me out of the grays. While I cannot say I knew him personally in any capacity, something about his writing always projected warmth and positive vibes in a way that felt like a balm every morning he worked here. I always felt welcomed in the comment sections of his articles and I’m surprised

Fuck, I remember reading his articles and remember how great they are.

Looking back on his work, I remember some of it. I didn’t quite realize how long I’ve been reading this site. What awful news. I’m sorry for your loss.

I never interacted with András personally, but years later still continually discover and am delighted by his old work at Kotaku. Wishing his loved ones the best.

Wow, this is heartbreaking news. András was such a wonderful, pleasant, polite, hardworking member of the team. He will be missed.

I’m looking at the articles he wrote and realizing how many of them I recognize.
