Y’know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a developer share what the average character would look like based on user data. I’d love to see that for more games.

Just giving in to the inevitability of your character being voiced by Nolan North or Troy Baker?
Yeah, most games give you a choice between stubble, and straight beard hair, maybe with a couple of lengths if you’re lucky. I’m a white guy with a slightly curly beard, and even I have a hard time finding something that looks like my facial hair.
I’m not a beard haver so when I thought about it I realized I missed that actually, the beard options don’t include coarse hair (i.e. the kind of long beard you’d see on a black dude). Gonna keep an eye on that going forward
How are the beard options? That’s the part of character creators that usually disappoints me.
Reject tradition, embrace modernity.
Yep... If the game doesn’t end with a “Oh, you son of a bitch... I didn’t see that coming!” comment, then it’s being played wrong.
Oh i disagree. This game is a fantastic distillation of the classic game diplomacy. It adds just a few extra rules to make the experience faster, unique, and flavorful. I've owned and played these games since at least 2005 and loved them. But like diplomacy what happens between turns off the board is almost more…
The problem is that you’re looking at it as a “territory control game.” It’s not. it’s a bluffing and negotiation game.
It’s early access.
Of course it’s buggy.
That’s the entire point of early access.
The studio desired an international name for an international project, and an under-30 Academy Award winner certainly fits the bill; they’re paying the extra cash to an actress like Vikander to gain more eyeballs and that she’s a well-renown actress adds a layer of respectability to the project for people not…
When CDPR has shown off Cyberpunk 2077, that’s been a big theme that they’ve talked up and betrays an extremely facile understanding of transhumanism and cyberpunk as a genre. In the E3 demo, they talked up to press about how ending it with a woman in a bathtub, you’re given a choice to save or kill her. This is…
Yeah, never think about anything. Just buy or don’t buy. Criticism, critique, even stopping for one moment to say “Does this make sense?”: not even once!
There were huge racial issues with the Haitian gang in the E3 demo from last year, too. Basically every time we’ve seen this game thus far has incorporated some flavor of racism, transphobia, or ableism (remember all the talk like “if you replace body parts with robot parts... are you still human????” like people with…
Love this game. My buddy kept begging me to play it for the last 5 years and I finally took the plunge in June. What a journey! The hardest game I have ever beat. So challenging that after completing it, I can fully admit it has made me better at most other games.
I am not one of the better angels of society when someone has done me or mine wrong. Fuck them. And fuck this bloated piece of shit and his rent-to-purchase ho ass wife. “I don’t care, do you?” About your? No I don’t bitches. Y’all can’t die fast enough. Best case: he does a Herman Cain and rolls to the promise land…
You got me, man.
