Starting with Wizard and Glass is the best idea. That story was the most compelling, in my opinion, of all of the DT books because of the love story and the complete and utter loss he faces. No better way to build a character and have the audience buy in from the start of a show. Too bad it was scrapped. 

This is an unbearably sad story and I hope the jackasses who harassed her on social media over a goddamn reality show get charged with murder.
