Sorry it took so long to reply, was at work. I do appreciate your questions and the way in which you’ve asked them.

I did yeah! Having never been and known very few people from there Manitoba and Saskatchewan are a little bit of mysteries to me.

Honestly didn’t expect the engagement (even if most of it was in disagreement), defending a position when it seems really unpopular can be draining, so thank you.

For sure. Much of the Kinja-verse seems largely middle-class professionals who lean liberal but not especially socialist nor even democratic socialist.

Ah, we’ve reached the point of discussion ‘u bad,’ ‘u no smart,’ ‘u young.’ Fruitful. Alright then.

but it’s unfair to have this blanket hatred towards a single group

but if you’re OK with an immigrant family renting out,

You want to own the fac-tory?

I don’t like Marie Antoinettes but I’m not too fond of Lenins either.

Show me one system of government that is consistently good and not infallible, especially in a capricious democracy like today’s, and I’ll show you an imaginative children’s fairy tale.

Or they scrimped and saved and bought run down properties cheaply and fixed them up.

Yes, omit me and let the banks all own the apartments, eh? No?

A lot of renters make a lot more than their landlords.

The system is a problem, but we are all stuck in it.

I, like most other homeowners, busted my ass with side gigs to save up a down payment, and bought a duplex to live at, rent, and improve.

Ummm... No. My parents immigrated to this country in the 70's, they saved and sacrificed to purchase a business.

Landlords manage those people and make sure they are taken care of responsibly by people that know what they’re doing.

These things seems reasonable and I see no reason this hypothetical landlord is evil inherently.

“Why does a landlord have that property? Because they had access to an existing large pool of capital”

Lol probably very true
