Actually, even Trump said something bizarrely sympathetic about the whole thing. I’m still going with the “broken clock” theory. Even the most horrible of people have been known to show a little bit of humanity every now and then.

Thank you. The history of the government and law enforcement’s reaction to the Black Panthers and the civil rights movement exposes the hypocrisy and racism of people who claim to want to preserve the second amendment for “Americans”. The second a non-white person is exercising that same right, it’s used as a

I mean Black Panthers exercising their 2nd amendment rights is basically why Regan was like “guns are bad” so yeah, you have a point. I'm just not gonna be the first Mexican to volunteer you know? It's gotta be someone braver than me cause these cops are just itching for reasons to kill.

I couldn’t bring myself to watch it. I’ve been reading about it and it’s too much already. And the authorities said “we have a wound in our community but we’ll start healing soon”. No, you fucking dipshit, it’s not a booboo and talking about healing soon is disrespectful to Sterling’s family and friends. I just wanted

Much as many Americans (particularly in the South) believe that the religion part of the First Amendment only applies to Christianity, many Americans (particularly in the South) also believe that the Second Amendment only applies to the white race.

I understand the thin blue line. I understand that cops think, “That coulda been me. Mistake made. Gotta support my brother.” But I’m a public school teacher. If I found out that a teacher was fucking a student, there’d be no way that my knee-jerk response would be, “Well...you have to understand that...” Give me a

Yea and how you’re forced to have the same convo again and again. “Are you excited” “Omg so excited! Chubby cheeks and little shoes! I love them already!” and God forbid you say “not yet, I’m actually terrified and don’t feel any emotional connection yet”. It’s not so much being pregnant in public as being forced to

I don’t think she is criticizing pregnant women in the public, I think she is criticizing how other people are with pregnant women. They always want to touch your belly, ask about when it is due, names, gender, blah blah blah.

What blows me away — in addition to all the other reasons outlined by Alison Green — is that the manager never offers to come in early and cover for her. When I was a manager, I would stay late with employees to help them finish earlier and get out of the office. Or I’d come in early to help them if they needed it.

Oh you and me both baby. The first time I saw the Colbert Report 5 years ago (late to the party) I went scrambling to read/watch everything by him and about him. He shot to number 1 on my List with a bullet and, despite a strong challenge by Idris Elba, has kept the spot ever since.

I almost never literally laugh at loud, but for some reason the “with all the pets inside” got me going and now my coworker is on to me. Trying to play it off as a funny expense report isn’t working...

“We’re gonna get married or break up.”

The term reverse racism bothers the holy crap out of me. It insists that there is some sort of racial hierarchy to start with. Racism is just racism. There’s no special edition directed towards white folks.

Dear fellow white people of the world,

I’d like to star this infinity billion times but Kinja won’t let me live.

This is why we need to teach critical thinking skills in schools.

everything’s about race until it’s not about race and when it is about race it’s convenient for white people to make it about race but all the other times it’s race-baiting. Or something. I can’t keep up with racist logic
