That may be a northern thing. We never wore shoes in the house because 9 times out of 10, they were soaked with rain or snow or covered in mud. We had a shoe mat by the door and even guests leave their shoes.

Well, Kentucky just refused to pass an anti-child marriage law, with the dissenters were mostly of the religious persuasion. Presumably, if a child is sexually assaulted (statutory rape) then the best thing to do is to marry her to her abuser! Which, I guess, nullifies HER “sin,” but dude gets what he wants!
