Why does everyone want to compare the Mach E to the Mustang? Yesterday I read an article arguing that electric cars are cheaper to insure and used the fact that the Mach E costs 20% less insurance than the Mustang as an example. And sales should also not be compared. One is a muscle car, one is an SUV.

They are lower than normal lights, but that’s not really an issue, since the signs warning drivers of construction ahead would also indicate the presence of the lights.

These look like temporary ones for construction sites. I sometimes see them transported that way, when the workers were either to lazy to disassemble or to get a truck with longer bed. The bases are really heavy, so it isn’t as sketchy as it looks.

I would assume that a car with a front motor can recuperate more energy, but it could be that in consumption cycle driving it doesn’t brake hard enough to really compensate for extra weight and friction.

Some manufacturers got their launch controls to a point where the 0-60 times are grip limited rather than powertrain limited. The 911 Turbo is competitive against the Taycan or Teslas, so the accelaration could be tire limited, it is not much different from the 3-series rwd cars, for these cars there would be an

With electric seats, the wouldn’t need an extra sensor, they could just log if the button is used. And I assume Tesla has memory seats, so exporting the data is merely a few lines of code.

Found a picture of the Opel engine

The engine positioning was to accomodate 4-wheel drive without some crazy design like on the Opel.

I was genuinely baffled by the vaccine passport ban. Then I remembered that this is about Trumpistan, now it makes sense.

Most races of the 1996 season are available on Youtube (with german commentary)

The engine is so far forward because of the four-wheel drive. They needed to get the diff in a position that would allow a reasonable halfshaft angle, so they moved the engine so far forward. Opel went a different route, and put the engine as far back as they could, and then put a gear stage on each side of the engine

Because you all want to know what that song was like, I saved you the hard work of looking it up on Youtube:

These look more like extreme environmentalists, rather than far left activists.

Meanwhile, Tesla itself is still doing its best to sabotage the factory. A new technical report found that plans for handling dangerous chemicals are inadequate or dangerous, and states that the original plans were based on naive assumptions.

The leather air vents are actually that expensive. Porsche has to do lots of development and lab testing to ensure they still look good in twenty years, which is a lot of money for something that almost nobody orders, and the leather is applied by hand.

If you are looking at scaling, the surface isn’t the most significant thing that changes, as the power is scaled down far less than the weight, and the friction coefficient not at all.

F2 cars are 100mm narrower, FE cars 230mm, and it really shows.

Do you have a circuit diagram for the oil?

I would check if there is oil arriving at other parts, like main bearings, the other head etc.

And they are running them because they are legal. The rules clearly state a maximum deflection with a specified load, and the “offending” wings all comply with that rule. What the FIA did is change the rule mid-season after one team complained, and now that team is complaining that the rules aren’t changed fast enough.
