I don’t see the Indycar breaking the record. Even with an engine boosted into nirvana, it is only a rear-wheel drive car and has a longer wheelbase than the ID.R, and both will hurt it through the hairpins, of which there are plenty.

These tracks are often very narrow and cramped to save space and money, and they also lack the paddock space for international racing.
