If you spec a 30d with the stuff thats standard on the iX3, its over 60k, so it looks like it has the usual electric car surcharge.

The battery seems to be very good, it’s 80kWh in a chassis that was originally designed for ICE. I believe BMW now assumes the point from where there is money to be made with electric cars, and rolled it out.

The WLTP range is competitive with the Model Y, while the price is about €9k higher. As the BMW will be the nicer car to own, it doesn’t seem like a bad deal, and I would expect BMW to offer incentives, bringing the car closer to the Y.

According to the german websites, it has 25km less range than the Model Y. If the 77.000€ is accurate, it’s 9k over the Model Y, but it comes with more stuff and much nicer interior and body, and a service network with a good reputation.
