It wasn’t just black people who died. There are black, white, all color working poor in NOLA. The city has gentrified and become more unaffordable. The influx of young white people from all over the country that thought it would be a fun city to “experience” has dramatically increased. The city has had and still does…
Yeah, I gotta say, my solidly middle class upbringing and the fact that I’m white must have cause me to hallucinate the fact that I lost my house, all physical memories of my childhood, was displaced for 2 years, and had two close friends killed. Fuckstick.
Yeah, good point. I kept thinking I lost my house, all remnants of my childhood, my senior year of high school, the list goes on and on and on. But whew. Thanks to you and Albert Burnenko, I was able to realize that because I’m middle class and white, I didn’t actually lose anything. Fucking assholes.
Apparently I still can’t afford cheap.
Call me crazy but I like the Avantine.

You do realize bullets can go all the way through somebody right?
That quote is useless as we have no idea about the length of the unspecified time. Like if they called the ambulance and just waited for it to come, that seems normal. I am not sure the police’s duty to provide medical care beyond calling the correct medical professionals immediately.
He “fired on officers first”? Officers who were in plain clothes in an unmarked car and therefore, with no body cams. So basically, not-officers. Not to this kid who is face down on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
Queue the “cops are the real criminals” rhetoric because a young black man has been told all cops are evil and now makes bad decisions based on fear.
