@ivan256: that isn't legal. the law states that cable cards are an alternative to having to rent the box from the cable company, but since the company is providing the card, they can get away with a nominal fee, which is supposed to be less than the box rental.
@pantsonfireliarliar: think of this as replacing your cable box. cable companies have to give you cable cards by law, so you get this HD DVR ($10 a month on comcast) as well as access to a lot of the other content. plus, there are programs to send your downloaded movies and tv shows onto your Tivo from your comp.
@Prostate of Grace: where the hell have you been?
@Redwraithvienna: that's what I'm saying. If they don't give you those benefits as a regular, exploit away.
@Redwraithvienna: but if that place is offering deals to other people, why shouldn't you, the already loyal customer, also get some sort of deal?
@Redwraithvienna: yes, but if you're going there constantly and you get nothing? I'm all for supporting places but if I'm even considering using Groupons, I probably don't have the money to support them entirely.
Your mentality is what cell phone and television companies use when they only offer certain deals for new customers. If they don't offer any deals for you, a repeat customer, then you should use the Groupon to take away their money.
@Richard Servello: subway is a little different than standard fast food chains though.....
@Fauxcused: -_- I was just messing with you.....
@FriarNurgle: exactly. a cheap/decent HTPC is $500 if you have NO parts already. $200 + $10 a month for Hulu Plus will surpass a $500 HTPC and free Hulu in 30 months. Lets not mention the other services an HTPC supports....
@Fauxcused: yeah but you said you had a "sneaky suspicion" it was coming soon when they officially say it's coming soon on their website.
@pastafazul: you really don't think HBO and Showtime have ads? They do, it's just displayed differently. Their shows have major product placement. Entourage, Dexter, HBO Friday Night Boxing, etc.
@Fauxcused: is your sneaking suspicion the official hulu plus supported devices list? [www.hulu.com]
@James Kubecki: please report back. same thing is happening to me.
@Gregory-Goldmacher: the iphone's screen works off of electric conductivity. most gloves, even thin ones, act as insulators. The tiny silver threads help conduct the electric signal from your fingers to the phone.
@djalice: The massive touchscreen table is most likely the output from a jailbroken iPhone and Apple does it.... well because they can do whatever they want. When you jailbreak, you can get access to an app called "tv out" (or something like that) and people have been able to work with that to get apps ported out…
@The Squalor and the Fury: or they could just buy 6 planes and call it G6.
@sdotbailey2: someone's getting a little paranoid.....
@Dexomega: no shit, I mean how would you like to be involved in a civil suite proving that you watch porn? I bet all settlements come with a non-disclosure clause.
